Geneva played host to this year's BID International Star for Quality Convention, where professionals and business representatives from around the world gathered in recognition of achievements and recent successes. In particular, the convention celebrated quality in business and operations. Award winners demonstrated commitment to the criteria of the QC100 TQM Model, which ensures customer satisfaction and cost efficiency at every level of activity.
Among this year's winners, Pierre Djibril Coulibaly of NexPro U.B.S (NEXAT Informatique), from Ivory Coast, proudly accepted the International Star Award for Quality Award in the Gold Category at the BID Quality Convention in Geneva. Leaders awarded through the BIDgroup community clearly demonstrate creativity and leadership in their respective sectors. This year, such winners included: Amiga Kraljevo, from Serbia. Amiga Kreljevo is a leader in the Serbian electromechanical industry. The company provides a wide array of construction and mechanical products to clients throughout Europe, Russia and Africa. Amiga Kreljevo was awarded the International Star for Quality Award in the Platinum Category.
Innovation expert, was also awarded in Geneva, Alargan Projects Co. from Saudi Arabia. Alargan International Real Estate Company was established in 1994 in Kuwait, and quickly became one of the leading real estate developers for middle income housing in the country. Less than 20 years later, Alargan has expanded operations throughout Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Lebanon and Egypt, boasting approximately $2.4 billion in assets. Alargan was awarded the International Star for Quality Award in the Gold Category.
Likewise receiving the honor was V.N Buildtech (P) Ltd, from India V.N. Buildtech is one of India's fastest growing construction and real estate developers. Its most high profile projects include the construction of Jaipur's tallest building, as well as multiplex malls and an amusement park. Setur, of Koç Group, from Turkey. Setur belongs to Koc Holding, Turkey's top industrial conglomerate, which is made up of 113 companies and 90,000 employees. Koç Holding is the only Turkish company to be listed in the Fortune Global 500 list.
